Release date and the clearest listed time
Capcom's current update gives Friday, September 4, 2026 as the release date. The US PlayStation Store product page is more specific for that storefront: it shows September 4, 2026 at 04:00 UTC.
That PlayStation time is useful as a checked storefront reference, but it is not proof that every platform and region unlocks at the same moment. A UTC-based release can also appear as September 3 in some local time zones, which helps explain why Steam may display a different calendar date.
Check the countdown or date shown by your own store. This page does not convert one regional listing into a universal launch clock.
Steam preload status
Capcom's official Steam announcement, published September 1, says players who pre-purchased can preload. It directs players to a time-zone map for the regional schedule and warns that additional update data may still need to be downloaded after launch.
In practical terms:
- Owning a preorder is the condition named in the Steam notice.
- A completed preload may not be the final download.
- The time shown in your Steam client is the safest regional check.
The notice supports Steam preload; it does not establish preload availability on every console storefront.
Confirmed platform picture
The current official storefront set supports:
- PlayStation 5, with PS5 Pro Enhanced listed on the US store
- Xbox Series X|S, with Xbox Play Anywhere and Windows PC listed by Xbox
- PC via Steam
- Nintendo Switch 2
Xbox Play Anywhere is a store entitlement/feature label. It does not mean the Steam purchase is shared with Xbox.
What remains regional or unknown
Prices, physical stock, preorder cutoffs, and exact console preload windows can differ by region. This page also does not claim one global unlock hour beyond the specific US PlayStation Store display above. Recheck the store tied to the account you will actually use.
